I need a good lightweight travel tripod.
Sturdy but light enough to carry in the airport and on the plane, small enough to fit in or on a back pack, and faster than a speeding bullet.
Would it be too much to ask for it to hold a 70-200?
By the way (but for a different purpose) can I get a review on the gorilla pod (focus)
There are 3 parameters: stability (low vibration), portability (short/light), and cost (inexpensive). Basically, you have to pick which two you want, you can
iND....take a look at Feisol. I can't personally speak for the travel versions of their tripods, but I've had their CT-3371 for a couple of years now and I'm quite satisfied. Although they're not quite the bargain they were a couple of years ago, the product is sound. Also, their customer service is great.

I'll vouch for John's statement about the Gorilla holding the 7D and 17-55 f2.8 IS....I haven't had a need to try it w/my 100-400....yet.
