Now I need to wait until Jan 2nd before it's in my hands. Amazon has a decent deal on them. They're $1999 and you get 6% back in store credit. That brings the final price to $1879.

Nice ! So far I've had a lot of fun with the camera, even if I'm still waiting for some good weather to use it outside.
I'm looking forward to seeing your pictures. I guess your cats will have to pose again soon.
Congrats Mark...that is great. I look forward to hearing your thoughts...
Congrats! I just got mine about 6 days ago. I love it.
What did you have before? And what PP program do you use?
I upgraded from crop body, and am enjoying the low-light ability. Amazing to shoot 3200 with better IQ than I used to get at 1600 or 800. As for PP, I was a little shocked to realize I had to upgrade from LR3 to LR4 (to let Adobe read the 6D's Camera RAW), but having jusdt done so, I really like the new version.
Thanks, Folks. Amazon just informed me it will be delivered this Friday. Our office is closed then, but I will be at work anyway. Maybe I'll get lucky and catch the UPS guy on his rounds.
I currently shoot with a 7D, which I'll be keeping. But I too am looking forward to cleaner high ISO shots. With some careful exposure and some post processing, I can get usable 3200 ISO shots from the 7D, but I've seen usable shots at 12800 ISO from the 6D. I have Photoshop CS6.
There are few things in life as cool as opening up a new camera box. :D
I'm amazed how quiet this thing is compared to the 7D.

Nice! :) Have fun Mark!
No post worthy pics yet. Just some test shots in the office. But man, I need to learn to shoot all over again. The detail on a FF is awesome (no news to you FF users here, I'm sure) and this camera laughs at high ISO noise. No more missing available light shots because I can't get a decent SS at or below 3200 ISO. This is going to be fun. ;)
