Anyone has the perfect recipe for posting pictures on the web ?
Hi all,
after several tries, I am still unsatisfied of the quality of the pictures I transfer on the web. There seems to be a big quality change between the file on my pc and the one transfered. I am looking for a recipe or a hint.
I am using Digital Photo Professionnal by Canon to convert my files. But I dont know what is the best size to post. I also use CS3 to work my files.
Thanks,
Julien

That could be caused by compression, color space difference, and/or aliasing artifacts from the resampling algorithm.

The "best" size is the one you prefer the most.
If you would like some assistance identifying the problem with your workflow, it would help if you provided some details about what you are doing.

Al, that is one great potrait. Love the eyes.
For posting on the web
I resize my images to 1200 x 800 for Photo.net and 750 x 500 here. When you downsize an image, you need to sharpen it. I use CS2's Unsharp Mask function.
The key here is you need to sharpen a downsized image. Good luck.
