I just saw this on Flickr, while he didn't go in to great detail I thought his set ups were real interesting how he was incorporating the full scale background in with his models.

That was very neat! Fantastic imagery - and seeing how it was done was even better. :-)
I think I saw an episode on the old Outer Limits that pretty much resembles this!
