Medium Format
I am moderately serious about investigating Medium Format for studio portraiture.
I would like to have some discussion about the topics.
Specifically, aside from the obvious cost factors.
Are full frame DSLS closing the gap (not necessarily on megapixils) but on quality.
What are Canon's and Nikon's future in this market.
Personal experiences with the format of any brand.
Thank you.

I own a studio and I started my career with medium format.
I saw the light when I saw my first digital camera. I bought it.
I do miss a few things BUT overall, for what you stated, studio portraiture, IMO go digital. I now use the 5D III.
Sure there will be opinions either way but does the customer 'see, know' the difference? I don't think so. I have sold a 50" digitally captured prints and they are stunning.
I used the Mamiya RB67 then went to the Bronica ETRSi then digital. Oh, how I do not miss the weight when I shoot weddings!
