Sean, ILOVE the bottom left! Is that where you underexpose the background and pop the people with lights? I suckat that stuff...not the underexposing part. I can do that like nobodies business..just not on purpose[:D]

You've been a busy lad Sean!
Here's one I took yesterday, nothing amazing this week as I've been on night shift and have been in sleep mode most of the time.

Nice action shot, Ben!
But, what's with all the black speckling? It's especially noticeable between Tilly (guessing on the name based on the image title) and the water. Is it some horrible swarm of gnats? With a 5DII and ISO 200, it can't be image noise, right?!? If it is, some investigation intoRAW conversation, etc.,seems warranted...
The only day last week I had time to go out and shoot was a dreary, dim and drizzly morning (of course, every other day last week was sunny and warm [8o|]).

Hmmm I think there's a bit of truth in both of your analyses. There was some sort of plague of horrible fresh water dwelling insects (possible related to Sean's Aunt Edna)following both our dogs around so that may be some of it.
However, I think you'll find it's mud! Don't be fooled by those white feet - if there's mud around she'll find it, and Jack will be 3.4 steps behind.
I did a double check in DPP to check the RAW conversion and the result was very close to ACR. Good pickup though - certainly made me have a closer look after you mentioned it.
Cheers, Ben.

Bugs or noise, I guess.
well then... maybe it is the dirty little critters
My share.. more lax than Sean's week. Great set Sean!

Sean, hi!
I like Fiona-like picture upper left.
Another amazing shot is down left. What did you use to light the hill slopes? (I can't imagine electricity bill amount)[Y]
Alex.
Hi, Johnstondox!
I like the 3-rd picture most.
The first one is not sharp enough - I couldn't see eyelashes of the bear... [:)]

Chris, that is some fantastic work. Did you have to wade out into the marsh to get these shots. If so it was definitely worth it.
Cheers,
Dave.

Drove around the country side for a few minutes, with my dog.. stopped on a one way road that lead to a small ranch and took a couple pictures. A person drove by staring at me, I assumed he lived at the end of the road.. so I took off as to not start any trouble.

Hi, ddt0725!
I liked # 3 and #1.
#1 is very touching - the dog is looking at the insect as if saying "it is a pity I can't fly.."

Thanks guys. Yea it was a very smelly salt marsh. Thick with mosquitoes, but also Herons, Egrets, Spoonbills and Ibis. Headed back there in an hour or so for some re-takes. Looking to cut the distance with the Reddish - didn't love the backgrounds on those. Hopefully they'll cooperate. [:P]Quote:
