Thanks Guys for the nice feed back. I used Canon 580EX flash with a diffuser on it.

Beautiful portrait Wally.
Still exploring hair colours here, in the midday sun, used my flash but there was no way I could dissolve those shadows.

Thanks for viewing.
Brilliant shot Steve. Mixture of contrast and colours are beautifully captured
Here are a couple portraits I've taken recently. The first one is a friends sister who recently got married, second one is a family friend and co-worker, and the third is childhood friend who just pasted her boards to be a physician assistant.

Welcome to the forums, Hero. Great professional looking protraits. Lighting is spot on.
Thanks. I stumbled across the site this morning and I've spent the better part of the day reading reviews on the site and topics in the forum.
All three of the shots were done with a single speedlite (either a 430EX II or a 600EX-RT) with a shoot through umbrella triggered by a Canon 60D wirelessly, I love that feature of the camera.
Welcome, Hero ...these portraits are absolutely fantastic! Very well done!
Great shots Hero. Welcome to the forum.
I see you are from Tallahassee. I graduated highschool and college there.
Great shots Patrick....Look forward to more:)
