Thanks. Hard to get a bad shot with this lens. It's definitely going on my "need to buy" list.
Low light shot of Miss Tortie using the 135mm F2L wide open and handheld at 1/100s. 6400 ISO. PP in ACR and PS CS5.

Cute shot, it has a sort of HDR feel about it, is that just because it's one of the functions of the S95?
The low-light setting on the S95 has some pretty serious noise reduction. It sort of makes the image look like HDR.
Absolutely adorable kitty pics!
I got myself 3 new dogs! They don't bark, they don't demand 100% of my attention, they don't need to be fed or cleaned up after, they don't need meds and they don't hog the bed!!
Meet my new pets ....

Very nice Denise, the vet bills should be considerably cheaper as well.
Those are all Springers, right? ;)
Good one, M six.
Found out today that another surgery may be needed for my little boy! :(
It sure doesn't stop him from enjoying playing in the snow! He is such a tough little guy!

Denise,
Very sorry about the news that he may need another surgery, but what a great shot of a happy dog!

Not my pets but a few shots from the beach yesterday.

This shot has a dog in it, but for those with keen eyes some of the words of our national anthem are proudly worn on this young Australians swimmers.

Steve
He wasn't the only one.
We have a new addition. His name is Bo, a ragdoll kitten. Very inetresting times as the 4 dogs try to get to know him.
This one taken very hastily on the bedroom floor, ISO 3200, but you get the idea.

Thanks or viewing, better photos to come.

Oohhh! So cute, congrats on the new addition to the family! I am curious to see/hear how this works out! I don't think it would go well with my brood!

This is Juno, my first post here as I'm just getting into photography, right now it's still full auto and hope for the best, but in time and from reading here hopefully I'll get decent pictures not just by accident.

That's a really nice shot of a very proud looking dog, just a little bit too small to see properly.
The introduction of 8 week old Bo Jangles the Ragdoll kitten is progressing very smoothly. My wife would totally disagree with this statement, but she is slowly coming around.
Please meet Bo Jangles

Great shots....Bo Jangles seems to take it all in.

Steve - They are all great, but the last one is just a cool shot:cool:
Ha! Ha! Love the shots, Steve! Thanks for sharing and putting a smile on my face before I've even had a chance to have my first cup of coffee!!
Steve, great shots!
But are you sure the dog isn't jumping up to check out the chick wearing not-much like in those other photos?
Well spotted Doc, but no, he is definitely only interested in the pussy-cat.

Very handsome boys Denise, great shots.
Took the young Bo Jangles out in the yard, but didn't let him run around on the grass, I want to keep him as an inside cat, if possible.

And the equally handsome Leroy Brown who went to the vet two days before this and had 17 teeth removed. Shouldn't have let it go that long, but had no idea it was that bad. He still has plenty of teeth and will make a full recovery and apparantly his gums will harden up very quickly and he will be chewing the hard stuff soon.

@Steve - Bo has the most beautiful eyes I have ever seen on a kitty! Poor Leroy Brown :( I'm in the same situation with my Cocker ...he doesn't like chewing on hard nylabones or anything so his teeth are not in the best of shape! Now I'm headed over to flickr to see what you used for these sharp shots!!
@Kombi - Welcome to the forums!! Love the captions with the photos! These are very sharp also! What combo did you use?
Denise
I've been working on a calendar for my mom's dogs for her birthday. Here's her malamute.
http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7060/6...ba430949_z.jpg
Nice B&W and perfect focus on the eye. I don't know whether the bokeh makes it look angelic, or confused. LOL, you know like those stars above the coyotes head when the roadrunner drops an anvil on him.
Steve, Yeah, at first I really didn't like the photo. Those are actually lights from a christmas tree in the background. After I B&W'd it I liked it more. I still find the lights distracting, but not as much as when they were multi-colored. I'm still torn between whether or not the lights are too distracting or add to the overall picture in a positive way...
I think your Mom will think it's beautiful. Could they be little malamute thought bubbles?
Bindi looking for possums in the back yard.

Please can someone help? How do I make this thumbnail larger, when uploading straight from the computer instead of via Flickr?
Nice shot, Steve! Bindi looks for possums like my dogs look for squirrels! I don't know what any of them would do if they actually caught one!
Not sure I like the "vintage' look I applied to this in post but I love the happy face!
