I like how you managed to time it just right so his face caught some of the filtered sunlight.

Tim, Denise, Andy, Lancer, John, and Joel....amazing shots, as usual for this thread. Very impressive.


I'll count these among "my" best bird photos. I was back in Idaho this past weekend and we spotted three Osprey and a Bald Eagle. The eagle was very far away, but here are a few pics of the Osprey. All 7D, 100-400L @ 400 mm, 1/1000, f/8, ISO 400

Great work Brant, love the eye contact in the last one.

Nice photos, did you try DxO's CA removal? It works wonders on CA and with a little HLS (if its really stuborn) you can completely elimenate the CA above.

John, I used DPP to process the photos from RAW to JPEG. I don't own DXO yet, but it is on my list. I didn't apply any CA adjustment in DPP. I will try that with these pics this weekend.
