Thanks everyone - I definitely credit all of you for inspiring me with your great photos. I need to work hard to keep up with this group! And yes you're not likely to see a lighthouse photo anytime soon from me.
Steve -Yes this is one exposure. I used a 2-stop soft edge ND grad, and a 5-stop solid ND to give a 60-second exposure. In Lightroom I darkened the sky about another half stop to give it the balance I wanted.

here is my landscape entry. this was my first attempt at HDR. it was a little hazy today so its not as sharp as it could have been.
