Thanks for the opportunity to be the judge this week --- it's always a challenge to pick a winner. I'm choosing Dave Throgmartin's "Distant Fog", which in my view is pretty much a flawless landscape shot. The lighting, composition, white balance, even the non-standard aspect ratio all work together to make this a compelling image. Having a bird fly into the scene at the right moment certainly helps too. It was a tough call, with very close competition from Ben Ludeman's "The Drive", which may have taken the prize if the teammates' heads were visible in the shot. I really liked the variety of all the entries this week... there was a lot of creativity which only made it harder for me to pick. Congrats Dave! And well done everyone.
