Just getting this one in at the last minute. I knew I wanted to submit something for this assignment, but I didn't know what right away. Eventually I settled on the photo below of a bumblebee hanging from the numerous florets of a sunflower. I was very happy with this photo when I shot it, with the black and yellow bumblebee surrounded by a sea of black and yellow florets.

I'm probably too late.
This was taken in the Blue Lagoon on the South coast of Malta.

Thanks for all the great photos!

The smaller skink lizards come this way in the southern direction. To catch them takes extra special care because they will drop their tails at the slightest touch when scared. A tailless lizard is not as cool as one with its tail.

Nice shot Bryan! I love lizzards, but never seen one like that before.

I had downloaded the trial a few days ago, because someone wanted me to make a collage. I tested it with a few hundred images, making collages that were big (like 2K, 4K and 8K wide) and thought it did a pretty good job, so it was fresh in mind. The collage software is only $25 ($45 commercial) and works great if you add tons of images. I thought it could make a nice large poster.
When I found out what collage I was actually being asked to make, just 6 images, I opted to do it manually in GIMP instead. Since Photoshop likely has the same options with different names, I'll repeat the steps here:
1. "Open as layers". Lets you choose a bunch of files, each opened on a new layer.
2. For each layer, resize layer, move
3. Move layers up and down to achieve wanted sorting.
4. Once vaguely laid out, for each layer rotate a bit.
5. Choose a nice border color as my background color, increase each layer's size by a few pixels (6 in my case), and offset by 3 (to center the images).
6. Choose each layer and filter/drop shadow, next layer, repeat filter.
7. Add a background layer with a gradient, and voila.
It was more work than pressing 'make collage', but you sort of need control of placement when dealing with just a few images.
That's my puppy, top center, surrounded by her brothers, all turning 1 next week.

Conropl, Dave thanks for all of the effort and the tutorial,

Wow, great edits David! When I look at the total collage I feel that "color" is definitely there :)
Great idea Ham! If you would have enough photos with 1 specific color popping out, you could even make a photo out of all small photos. I have seen that before and it
5. Choose a nice border color as my background color, increase each layer
