Joel, Beautiful shot of the Mallard. It really gets me in the mood to go out and shoot. I have been so involved in tuning up my PS skills and re-doing my webpage that I haven't gone out shooting lately. Perhaps the long weekend coming up will generate some opportunity.
Again, nice shot and great seperation.
Bob
I like the mallard.
Not a lot of fall color in the desert, but plenty at Lake Redman in York, PA when I was visiting there.

I agree with Bob. Nice shots on this page. They make me want to go out and shoot. Alas, not until next weekend.
Thanks Guys! This is GBH silhouette I took this evening, post-processed with On One Photo Frame.

I thought the autumn shots would start falling off by now, but a lot of great shots keep getting posted. Keep them coming... I have been enjoying all of them.
Well even somebody like me who failed Art at school (and everything creative) knows that Black and White are not colours but Shads.:p
I really like the shot, I think I can see browns in it so it would be interesting to see what it looks like with more contrast.
It's that time of year again.

Nice shot Andy. I hope to be heading out this weekend to capture a few fall color shots.....
The fall rains have arrived and brought out some fall breeding mole salamanders like this guy (Marbled Salamander).

Very nice shot, did you use the macro to get that detail?
This was taken down the road from where we live:

Yep...the 180mm. Lighting could have been better.
Beautiful shot James....so far it is looking like a great year.
A few Autumn shots from this past weekend. All were taken in Brownsfield Bog in Maine. I have to admit, I am liking the combination of the 100-400L on the 5DIII and the EOS-M for wide angle shots:

Great collection here! Brant I really like that shot with the kayak in the picture... it puts you right there on the water, in the most peaceful place imaginable. James I like all three of your shots... it's hard to pick a favourite!
We made a trip to Ontario a couple weeks ago... here's one from Algonquin Park:

A lot of great autumn shots here. I am feeling a little behind in the season after looking at all these. Here is one from last week.

Oh wow I quite like that one Pat. The composition just brings you right into the frame, giving it lots of depth. The leaves in the foreground complement the colours in the background.
Thanks Jonathan... everyone has been posting a lot of great shots lately, and you have been on fire. It helps motivate me to step up my game.
Beautiful shots everyone. Keep them coming.
On the west coast of Scotland, there are not too many trees, but you can still tell that it's autumn. The bracken turns red, the grasses and heather change colour, and just occasionally the sun shines on the landscape to show off the changes.

October in the Alps by Tounis_9, on Flickr
A lot of great shots going on here. Autumn is my favorite time of the year, but this year I have not spent enough of it getting pictures. So thank you all for feeding my appetite for fall colors.
My wife and I were able to get out kayaking this morning. I was hoping to get some pictures of ducks, but duck season is open and they are hard to find... if you do find them, they are very skittish (the result of being shot at). So I just left the 100-400 mm L on and got some close ups and reflections from the water. Here are some from this morning... sorry if it is to many.

Here are two more from me. Fall is winding up in New England. I have a few more to process, but then it will be on to "cooler" pictures.....
These were taken at Garwin Falls. I visited it for the second weekend in a row. This time with BillW.

This is a waterfall on Wolf Pen Branch near Louisville Kentucky. I used the Lee Big Stopper. Seems like it made a little blue cast in the water but otherwise worked well.
