@ Joel, nice mood and you've captured his expression well. Have you tried a slightly tighter crop? I had a bit of a mess around and quite liked him framed with some of the space above him removed. To me this gives him greater emphasis.
Thanks, Joel! Very much appreciated!
This is really fun to do and yep ...it is addictive!
Very cool car shot Denise! I like the driftwood shot, too, Lancer!
Joel, I agree with William...maybe bring the crop in a bit tighter...just my opinion, too. It is a great shot, though..

Here is a photo just taken yesterday with the new Rokinon 85 1.4...I did a little PP on he image to get it like this...

That
Thanks William, gig, festival and hotrod show, have a look at www.greazefest.com.au it's a lot of fun.
Another B&W from me, with a golden blur that I turned into a B&W.

Nice effect Steve. It gives it plenty of contrast and a sort of HighKey / LowKey effect. I like it.
What is a golden blur, is it duplicating the image, applying a Gaussian Blur then setting the blend mode to Overlay?
Great shot Denise and I LUV your car.
Wally
@William, it is just from a Portrait software program I downloaded, I did a golden blur preset and then a B&W conversion, probably wasn't meant to work like that, but I like the look of it anyway.
Thank you.
Cheers,
Steve.
I don't usually do many black & white conversions, but I happened to like this one better in black & white.

Very effective B&W Sean. Good looks and brains by the look of this shot. The model that is. :)
Very nice Sean
Very nice Sean
My wife & I did a Melbourne Sight & Shoot Tour de Force last Sunday & got a few good ones but lots of so so ones. This new bridge contraption is one that I liked it so here it is.

You know, I used a special little trick for the above shot that I never thought about before. I wanted to increase the shadows without blowing out the highlights. I
Interesting tip Sean - I've never really considered anything other than curves adjustments, will definitely try it out. bouwy, I love that shot of the "bridge contraption", it's so overbearing, especially as it's blotting out the sun. Brilliant.
Here's one from a trip to Pembrokeshire in West Wales (if anyone knows where that is, good job)

Churches are eerie enough without ghosts too...
Haha. Yeah it was a long exposure (10 sec) so the other people who moved in and out of the scene disappeared. This couple were intent on staying nearly still for the full exposure, though...
What sort of height is the camera at? The perspective is giving me a hard time working it out. About hip height?
I love the detail in the ceiling.

Nice B&W goose portrait Joel and well posed by the bird.
Here is one that I previously contributed as a colour image, this has been cropped and given the film noir/vintage look.

Now that's art, well it's not as good as the dogs playing poker, but it still art, nice Wally.
Have one of the pelican done as different way. These birds sit on the shark enclosure that is down at Redland Bay. A good place for a dip at high tide only.

Nice people shots, nice connection with the eyes Wally and lovely intimate moment w349.
No where near as good as the ones above but I gave it my best shot! I need alot more practice in B&W conversions!

Oooh you are doing it fancy.... I like the pix and the vignette around it.
More pix please.
w249: Yes I agree with Steve... Very special shot hard to come by.
Wally
You
Thanks, William but I do struggle with getting it just right.
