HB pix
Great shots....I haven't posted in awhile and this is the first time in quite sometime visiting the HB thread.
I really enjoyed seeing the Caliope pic Bob and I'm quite jealous you have 5 species to capture.
I hear your lament about becoming bored, w/only have Ruby-throats here, my pix to me, have become redundant. But I keep trying to capture that unique pic.
I'm still shooting natural light and trying to reduce my shutter speeds to enhance the movement pattern of their wings.
Regards,
Bill

You are a very good writer.
I liked it, clear and concise with beautiful images to illustrate each point along the way.
Well done sir:cool:

As I live where there are no Hummingbirds, I always wanted to know more about these guys.
I just watched a documentary on Hummingbirds called:
Hummingbirds Jewelled Messengers (2012)
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3216766/...59040619128893
This doco has some beautiful photography of these guys in motion and is well worth a look. I had no idea just how small these guys are so I'm even more impressed with Bob's fantastic shots. I can see the challengers in getting such a small bird in frame.
