This was the first trip with my new EF 500mm f/4L IS II USM. For both of these shots, I also used the EF 2x III extender. Hopefully I'll be posting more soon.

I have been to visit my brother-in-law in South Carolina and he was kind enough to provide a pontoon boat ride around Lake Wateree this morning just so I could get some bird images....what a nice guy! This is a Great Egret in flight taken from the boat this morning.

I was trying to stay ready for flight shots at all times....thus the high ISO and shutter speed;)
Great shots Joel. the flight one is great. FYI, that is a Great egret though.
