Nice shot, Steve. Your ride?
And here I thought I would never want a wide rear end!! That's a rear end to drool over!!!! Beautiful shot, Steve!
Nice job with the cars Denise,
Have you done cars before or is it a new chapter in your portfolio?
Sean shoots landscapes, you shoot cars, I wonder what surprise is next :-)

I was out in Southern California for work a few weeks ago. I had a few hours to kill one evening and walked along Hermosa Beach in LA and snapped a few shots:
Little late for the Silhouette Assignment, but I shot a few:

I really like the last shot, Brant! Great shot that I am sure he would love to have!
Taken at Vander Veer Botanical Park in Davenport, Iowa. 3 exposures merged in Photoshop HDR Pro. Also used a polarizing filter.

Nice ones Mark.
I woke up crazy early this morning to drive out to the Icefields Parkway between Banff and Jasper National Parks. Turns out, it was well worth it. Found this grizzly sow with two cubs (just one cub visible in the picture), grazing casually in the tall grass. It was hard to get a clear shot of the cubs, since they were shorter than the grass. But I'm quite happy nonetheless. By the way, all those black specks are mosquitoes, not sensor dust..! I had to bathe myself in insect repellent.

$2000 of equipment in the hands of a 6 year-old. He actually got a few nice shots and didn't drop the gear. The R-strap, however, doesn't quite fit.
Taken with an iPhone 4.

I was pretty impressed with his first real attempt at photography. He took both portrait and landscape orientation.
He didnt actually snap one of me. But here's one he took of his grandma!
http://img.tapatalk.com/a6f984a3-2065-62f3.jpg
Let me be the first to welcome the little guy to the forums! You & his grandma should be very proud of him, his outdoor portrait lighting skills are better than mine! Ok kid, tell me how you managed to not get any shadows on grandma's face! I know I could learn alot from this little guy!
Welcome to the young fellow Brian.
Jonathan that osprey shot is a beauty, well done.
As promised here are some of my favorites from the trip to acadia. I still have quite a few left to go through, but here are some I have gotten to so far.

This was actually a combination of 3 exposures. Of varying shutter speeds. I think the longest was 10 seconds. Taken just after sunset.

The last three were all taken in Acadia National Park. The first is marshlands near the Bass Harbor lighthouse, which is the subject of the second shot. The third is a shot of a round rock beach with Otter Cliff in the distance.
Thanks for looking all! Lemme know what I could have done better!
Dave.
Dave, really like #1 and #3.
Hey Dave, nice work, really like 1,4,7 and 8.
Thought I would stick this one here. It was raining, still very dark, but took this one at 21mm @f2.8 for 30 seconds.
I was in two minds whether to stay or go. I could not see the water from where I was and the previous shot @f16 was totally black. I'm glad I stayed.
Can you find me in the picture?

Nice image- middle shadow on the right side.
Great shots, Dave. Makes me miss home. Just up the road from Rocky Neck is the Niantic Book barn. Great place for used books, cats, and photography.

DD, I think this is one of your best yet. I honestly cannot offer any constructive criticism. The comp, exposure, lighting, background, etc seem right on. This is one of your best macro shots IMHO. I would be proud to hang this on my wall or submit for DD's calendar.
Nice job,
Bob.
P.S., Thanks for the kind note on my website.
Interesting center piece
