Well there is definitely something between the lens and the bird which degrades sharpness... a fence?
There was a branch in front of the bird, but it was so cute I kept it.
I like the Eagle, Fast Glass. Good perch, good exposure against bright sky. I would increase the brightness a little bit and remove the small branch/leaf in the bottom-right corner.
Thanks for the advice Nate, I don't have photoshop but I'll try in some other program and see if I can remove that leaf.
