Thanks! i had noticed that myself but wasn't really sure how to fix it, i'm new to photomatix and just trying to learn the ends and outs of it, i will be buying the license soon so that's also good to know about removing the watermarks, thanks again!

Cool cool. I lived in Chicago for about three years (two hours north is still considered "Chicago land" much easier than telling people "Crystal Lake" and getting confused looks haha).
That's a wonderful shot of the burgh though. I love it.
<div style="CLEAR: both"]</div>
Unreal, that's the area I live in now.
Haha small world! I wish I would have gotten into photography before I moved back east. Crystal Lake was a great location. Even if the lake wasn't exaclt "crystal" clear haha.

3 shots at 18mm f/3.5 ISO 400, handheld. Grunge effect in Photomatix appled
Interior of a very, very nice Boss Mustang
Too much HDR? I like it, but very much would like a different opinion

Re: Post Your Best HDR Photo
Did this one over the weekend. I used 1 RAW file and processed it into 5 16 bit TIFF files at 1 EV spacing. I really cranked up the effect for this one because I felt like it added a lot of drama to a somewhat marginal composition :-)

Re: Post Your Best HDR Photo
I'm pretty sure you would get the same effect with photomatrix with just the one RAW file.
Quite a nice effect though.
And the previous car is brilliant!

Not sure if I would call this HDR or not but it is a shot of New River Gorge in West Virginia, processed from one image

Nice one Joel.
The clouds in the valleys look like they were placed there for this pic :) Feels like soon King Kong's gonna pop outta this dense forest.

I think its classed as "ToneMapped" when its from one image, but my understanding is that if you do it from a RAW file there is additional luminance information that can let you give the impression of a "higher" dynamic range. Either way loving you work! :)

Re: Post Your Best HDR Photo
i had this in a lonely thread than never got looked at :'( sniff. Thought i would drop it in to this thread :D, very slight "HDR Effect" just to pull out the highlight and shadow details. 3 Exposures...etc etc, Photomatix...etc.

Single shot jpg taken on an XTi, 28-105mm @3.5, 30.0s. I enjoy the painted look to the final doc, more than the quality of the photo

Alan KE, i believe i recall your previous post with this car, but seeing as i refrained from commenting then, it looks good i like it :)
Whatsreal, i like it, i have a couple HDR shots myself that don't have the best IQ themselves but they still have a good feel to them, in the end you like it, that's what counts

Been reading for about a year since I started with photography, and finally decided I can share something with you.
It's my first HDR attempt, so I gladly will hear your thoughts on this[:)]

I always though Vegas was the place to be, to make some fun [:P] I guess things aren't as they are in the movies right?
By the way... Alex Sommers, I just love your shot of the beachtower. It's really nice [Y]

I'm jealous! I used to live in Capitola.... the area is awesome and wonderful for photography. There may be nowhere on Earth I'd rather live.
I like your pics. The first looks like the horizon is just a bit off, which is distracting. Otherwise I love it.
I also really like the last, though I think it might be improved by cropping so the horizon is a bit higher. The clouds in the water are great. Since it is HDR, I'm surprised you left the shadows so dark, but I like it that way.

I love HDR & here are some of my favourites. The images are from a small, very beautiful village in England.
I used the Canon 40D and 17-85 kit lens. all these HDR's are 3 images merged\tonemapped in photomatix. You can find me @ www.mauroof.com
cheers!
Hi!
I liked the second one very much.
Alex.

Re: Post Your Best HDR Photo
I was going through some pix I took last month and saw three adjacent similar pix in my Aperture3 files Two were poorly exposed, then i realized i must've bracketed them for a tone-mapped image. Here's what I got:

Re: Post Your Best HDR Photo
Hello to everybody.
I wonder, what should be the difference (in terms of exposure stops) to call image HDR?
Something tells me, that 6 or even 8 stops is not HDR.
May be, we can call it EDR (Extended Dynamic Range), while real HDR to start with double-digit numbers difference in terms of exposure stops?
Alex, as Reanimator today.

To be honest, a lot of people don't even get the true idea of HDR. Don't make it even harder [:P] Nah.. I get what you mean and to be honest High is a word subjective to your own standards, so make of it whatever you want. In the end it's all about the photo and it doesn't really matter if it's a HDR or normal photo I think?
