<div style="text-align: left;"]I really like this shot! I am now on a mission to get this same composition, only with the Blue Angels. They practice about an hour from my house twice a week, so if I can pull away, I am going to try and capture it. They make this same pass during every practice, At my previous house, they flew directly over my back yard at very low altitude, so low that you could see the pilot in the cockpit. I stood on a ladder once and waved enthusiastically at him, and he tipped/wagged his wings as he passed over. It was fantastic. </div>

Great shots Jan, I especially love the glowing engine and open bomb doors on that Belgian f-16. The colors, contrast and sharpness look great!
What a great combo between the 400mm f/2.8 and the 5DII.

Blue Angels performing at the Navy Pier. We were in Hancock Tower and didn't know they were performing. That's the (former) Sears Tower in the background. Right place, right time, wrong lens.

Thunderbirds at Joint Service Open House (Andrews AFB). I've been trying to get some decent air show shots for the last 15 years -- tough, if you don't go often. The 70-200 works if you're up front.
