Can't afford beer so...thin DOF it is!
PS
Those portraits are great! That self shot is really good. You need to get a traditional beauty dish for the Monolight so you can do a comparison with the Lumodi.

Nice shot, Keith. The angle of the shot almost makes it look like it was done with a TS-E instead of the 35L!

Haha!! Not exactly TIME magazine or anything, but my girlfriend and I were shooting photos of this catapult "ride" at the FISE Extreme Sports game here in Montpellier. It's something you get strapped into and FLINGS you in the air. It's super fun! haha!!!
Least Chipmunk, at Tunnel Mountain in Banff National Park. Most people who do this hike take photos of the panoramic view. I spent my time up there running around with a zoom lens, chasing the chipmunks.

Here are a few shots from the past week (taken in Lipetsk, Russia as we strolled through a few parks over the holiday weekend here in Russia - Victory Day). On our stroll we met up with a dear lady who sells her crafts in the park, she just loves our daughter!

Apologies for the jittery bokeh - the shot was taken through the wire mesh of an enclosure. This fellow was shot in the wing [8o|]and is being cared for by museum staff.

Parc Omega (http://www.parc-omega.com/)- About an hour from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Sort of a drive through safari kind of deal.
The deer, raccoons, beavers, ibex, boars, and buffalo are all running free in areas, where they expect carrots from the window of your car as you drive through. There are some deer walking around in the foot trail areas too. They also enjoy carrots, and don't mind people petting them. The fox is in a pen near the gift shop, as are some goats. The bears, coyotes, and arctic wolves are fenced off so they can't come up to the road, but they've got big hills to climb, caves to live in, logs across water features, etc.
The sections are divided by a metal mesh bridge that the animals apparently can't cross. There is always a crowd of deer by the entrance, just over the first bridge. I've heard that if you don't feed them, they will damage your car. They're pretty friendly if you are feeding them.

There was actually another car in the grass on the left of frame right up against the one you see that I had to completely clone out to get the symmetry of the photo right. I actually tried hooking it up to my 4WD with a snatch strap but it wouldn't budge - so I towed it out with CS4 instead. Took me ages but I was being very picky about it.
I also reduced saturation but masked out the red dress and did a little burning in the sky as it was just about to rain and the sky was highly uneventful.
