Hi Tony,
I have the 32 gb 600X and i love it,no problems as of yet. I have filled the card 3 different times at air shows and its in my canon 50d all the time.........Rod

Just checked and for some reason, Yahoo says there might be viruses on the page. I didn
I have a 4GB Transcend card that I bought a couple of years ago--and it's still working fine. However, its playing a backup role to my newer higher-capacity cards, so it doesn't see much current use.
I have several Transcend cards (64 GB 400X and 32 GB 133X) and they are working great. One colleague of mine had a Transcend card get noticeably slower and slower over time until he had to just toss it.
I normally prefer to stick with the faster cards. Right now I
I have a 16 and a 32 Gb 400X.
I had been using the 32 Gb for about a month, and it went belly up. I was using it during a photoshoot (no movies) with a 5DMk2. I reviewed the images with a friend at the time.
I removed the card later in the day, plugged it in to the PC, and the computer would not recognize it.
I tried several options to get the card to be read. Zippo. The card was less than a month old. I never filled it to more than 1/3 full, and did use it for movies, too.
I sent it to Transcend. They are going to send it to Taiwan to see if they can recover anything from it. It's going to take at least 3 months.
If they can't, I'm out the images, but they are going to replace it with a new card.
It has never happened to me before, where a card goes bad (and, I do mean, BAD). Up to this point, I've used SanDisk almost exclusively, and my cards are still running just fine.
For what it's worth, this has been my experience with Transcend.

Hi Tony,
I have two Transcend 16GB 400X cards I rotate with a SanDisk 16GB 600X ( i think, it is rated 90MB/s) ExtremePro in my 5D II, and I have not had any issues with them. I bought them on price and so far, so good. I was going to buy a couple of Transcend 32GB, but I have not thus far because I have seen too many bad card/just died reviews. Until I added those two this spring I only had SanDisk (various Extreme versions) and Lexar Professional 300X and faster. I have never had any CF card issues, again so far.
The price is appealing, but I think I am going to avoid Transcend until reviews get better. For what is worth, I believe that SanDisk holds the patent on CF format and I also think they make all the internal components themselves as well as assemble the final CF card. I know that Transcend uses internal components from various suppliers. That could be why some of their cards are better than others, they may have been built with better parts installed.
I hope this helps,
Chris
A little update on a 32Gb Transcend 400X that went belly up a while ago.
I sent it to Transcend, based in California, with the request that it be sent to Hong Kong. There, the technicians would attempt to recover the files from it. They said it would take 3 months or more to accomplish this. If they couldn't recover the files (no guarantees on that), they would still replace the card with a new one.
I recently got an email from them, stating that, unfortunately, they could not recover any files. I received a new card.
At the moment, it's sitting inside it's plastic case, collecting dust. I doubt I will use it. I don't have a level of confidence to overcome my suspicions that this new card might also go belly up (the first one did, in less than a month, and I handled it with great care).
Just a little fyi.

<span style="color: #333333;"]<span class="field-item-description"]Good Day everyone:
<span style="color: #333333;"]<span class="field-item-description"]Well Alan that choice is certainly your prerogative. I had a Transcend 16G 133 UDM card and lost hundred of shots on it twice. The first time I though that I had screwed up the down loading so I used it again only to find out that in fact it was the card not me. I contacted Transcend, scent them the card they tried to retrieve info from it with no success. They sent me a new one free since they all but the industrial have a lifetime warranty and have put over 5000 shots on it with no problem. I understand being gun shy, but just remember all brands of card have this happen. It is not Jermayne to Transcend.
