What did you shoot....December 13th-dec19th?
We had rain all week, hot and wet, managed to grab a couple of birdie shots. I am sticking with my mate the baby masked plover as he is a week older now and getting less fluffy and starting to look like Mum and Dad. He can't fly yet, so my dogs haven't been out in the big yard for weeks

This is Mum magpie and her two kids sitting on my chimney, it's been 32 degrees celsius so the fireplace isn't on. The come down each morning and night for some chicken or dry dog food, I'm well trained.

Nice shots Sean, you have all the Christmas angles covered here. Specially like the compelling differences in the bottom two.

Sean
I like the christmas portraits. Very nicely done.
Not much shot this week

Sean -
I truly love these shots! My absolutely favorite is the 2nd one...wonderful pose, lighting and beautifully colored bokeh, very classy! Wonderful captures and the parents are very lucky to have these in their collection of photos of their children!

It's my favorite too. The baby is cute, but that pose was just perfect. :-)

Certainly. I'll teach you everything I know (that should only take about half an hour). :-)

A frosty day in Canmore, Alberta
Canon 5D2, 24-70 f/2.8 lens, solid ND filter, 2 sec @ f/22, ISO 50. Plus, heat packs for my hands!

Steve and Sean, thanks for the kind words! It was such a perfect scene, with perfect lighting... I couldn't believe my luck. I guess I have a knack for shooting things that are right before my eyes, but what impresses me is when you can create an image that is in your mind, like the photo of your missionary friend Sean (and in fact, all your other portrait shots). I'mhappy I chose the topic of vertical compositions for the assignment a while back, because all the great entriesgave me a lot of inspiration for this.

Did my seconded official wedding on the 18th for some good friends of mine.
rained all day, was able to find an overhang where it was dry to get
some outdoor shots. Just one of the photos that was right off the
camera. except warmed it up in Lightroom on the slider + 3, and I added
some text for my blog to advertise the upcoming photos. Shot with Canon
50D, was lucky enough to rent a Canon 50mm F/1.2 USM for the weekend.
Shot was taken around 4:00pm, overcast, 50mm f/1.2 shutter speed was
1/250s. Sad part is I had to return that lens
