5d Mk3 release - How does this affect Mk2 Prices?

I see the rumours about the 5d mk3 suggest it will be available later this year, does anyone have any idea what this will do to Mk 2 prices.





I'm thinking of an upgrade from my mk1, Clearly the residual value of mine will drop a bit when the new one comes out, but 2 questions that you lot may have previous experience of;





Is the Mk3 likely to be a lot more expensive than the current Mk2


Will retailers drop the prices to clear stocks of the current Mk2





The above, plus the second hand value of mine will help me deide to take the plunge now, or wait for the new one, so does anyone know what happened whith previous releases?????

Whats odd, I never saw a rumor one about the new 200-400mm supertele. I am sure some one somewhere at canonrumors mentioned it at some point and now they are a very respected prophet.
