You bought more equipment? I thought you were selling all your stuff? I hope you AT LEAST keep the Canon 7D & Sigma 85mm f/1.4 as I think you take killer shots with that setup!

Is there any other benifit topoints other than qaulifying?
I am scared to look, because all it will tell me is I have way to much camera equipment.
I would have qualified under the old system for Platinum, if I wanted to lay out the $500 bucks. I did do the Goldfor $100 and the only real benifit so far was Lens Book and the CPS camera starp, those were very cool. The way I looked at it I bought the book and the CPS strap, they could have kept the little CPS pin.

62, but if I get around to selling two of my lenses, that would bring me down to 46.

Well if it can improve my quality of life it is worth a shot. The fanboi status will be obvious.
With all that I have bought:
150 points is what I have entered with CPS
However I did enter the camera and lenses I gave my brother since I figure that if they break I will be the one shipping them in for warranty.
So adjusted
122 for mine less -4 for one lens that was stolen that I am going to leave on the list in case it shows up....What I have In my possession right now gets me 118 points
28 for my brother

When you apply in the USA, on the application the question is never asked if you meet this requirement.

Dr Croubie
Your not missing out on much, the book they give you is kind of interesting...and like I said earlier the strap is ok....
But I have never used any of the other services, at $100 a year for a gold membershipmaybe it is like buying insurance and I will use it some day off in the future. ........

Almost. I have 146 points, but I don't need to include lost or lent items to reach my total.

Andy you can have top fanboi status [:-P] , I will gladly just claim the 118 points number and none of the lost and lent stuff. Plus I have a few pieces that I have been thinking of selling. About 12 points worth that would get me down to 106....
Checking my "want's" list, I am not sure that I could even catch you if I had my kit exactly the way I want it right now......

Re: How many points do you have on Canon's new "Points Qualification System"?
65 points, now I guess if you consider, a website, a business license and 5 hrs per week shooting, 10 hours per week processing and 25 hours per week on TDP (my advisor and editorial staff)---yes I have a full time job making images.

Canon converted my items to points automatically. I have a GOLD membership.
The book is interesting and although the strap is nice, I am a dedicated BlackRapid user. I like the two annual body cleanings. I change lenses frequently and I am not very comfortable cleaning my sensors. The discount with quick pro turn around is like an insurance policy to me. Although I have not needed any service repairs up till now, it is nice to know I will only be without an item for a week to ten days or get a loaner if/when I do need a repair.
