Switching to something else? Pocketwizard Plus IIIs, perhaps?
lol....yes, for the most part. I've had some issues with random firing lately when using the Cyber Commander. I think I've narrowed down the cause to a bad RJ11 cord. I haven't had time to fully test and figure out which cord it is. All the receivers work fine as dumb triggers, so I'm pretty sure an RJ11 cord is indeed the issue. And for that matter, I hope it is--it's the cheapest thing to replace. ;-)
How do you like the CyberCommander? Are you using it or do you find yourself just grabbing a CST?
Lately I've been grabbing the CST just because of the random firing I was experiencing on the last couple of shoots where I tried to use the Cyber Commander. Otherwise, I use it quite a bit. The Cyber Commander really helps in a couple of ways:
1) Whenever I put a light up very high, it's a pain to bring it down to change the settings. Changing the power level from the camera is certainly ideal.
2) Metering the lights. The Cyber Commander can meter the lights independently or as a group. Both help me understand the best place to start when choosing my exposure variables (which I always set manually).
I don't always use the Cyber Commander, and I wouldn't even if I wasn't have the recent issues. If I have a simple setup, with the lights positioned close to me, it's really easy just to reach over and adjust the slider on the back of the mono. In all other instances, though, I prefer to use the Cyber Commander.
Can a mod please update the title to:
FS: PocketWizard PowerMC2s & AC7 RF Shields
Done.
$50 to a good home???
My 600 EX RT system is working just fine.
I made the switch when I gave up on trying to figure all this sync stuff out.
Works most efficiently with the 5DIII and 1Dx
Thank you
I have 5 different White Lightning monolights, but no Einsteins. Plus, I'm already using Cybersync CSRB+s. Can't seem to remember where I got those from... :-)
You probably picked them up off some sucker! Oh well, as long as they are being put to good use :-)
Just had an idea, I'll trade these for CSRB+ or CSRB strait up :-)
....not yours Sean
Look at this on eBay:

Good timing to sell, too. Looks like they're on back order on PCB.com now. I grabbed mine just in time.
Thanks for the reminder Rocco. Mine sold on ebay.
Can an admin update the title to sold please?
