Assignment #57: Near and Far
On behalf of Assignment #55 winner, Mark (M_Six), I would like to announce Assignment #57: Near and Far
According to Mark:
I'd like the next Assignment to be called Near and Far. I'm looking for images with a subject or subjects that extend through the image and give a sense of depth. Shots like these can be created with UWA lenses, or tilt shifts, or just a narrow aperture. Even a good P&S shot can work. Here are some examples.
Below are the selected finalists:
Pat - Little Sable Point - Tough DR shot and mastered well. Plus it takes "near and far" to the extremes.

Andy -Slioch and Boulder Field - Flawless use of the tilt/shift.

JRW - Exactly what I had in mind for this assignment

John - Columns - Like my bench shot, it follows a single object through the FOV. Nicely done.

Arnt - ETs - Lots to like here. Nicely exposed, big DoF, very cool "UFO" trails.
