2015 image of the week #37

Welcome to TDP forum's "Image of the Week" competition. Each week photographers may submit their images to compete for the title of "Image of the Week." Weekly winners will then compete on a monthly, quarterly and finally in an annual poll for the title of "TDP Image of the Year."

There will be only one weekly winner.

• This entry period for Week 37 will be from Monday September 7th through/including Sunday September 13th.
• Please supply a title for your image.
• This is an open competition for landscape, portrait, architectural, macro and any other appropriate photographic style.
• Images should have been either recently taken or processed.
• Enter as many times as you would like.

This week will be judged by Kayaker72.

"Together"

This is a beatiful hand made wrought-iron sculpture, seen at a famous international fiery here in Stia, Tuscany. Some of those sculptures were really elaborate and detailed, but some of them, as this one, were speaking alone with simplicity. Real artist, there.

We must not live too far from each other! Dubuque is about an hour north from me. Lots of great photo opportunities there.

Howse River Viewpoint
In Banff National Park, red chairs have been placed at a few choice viewing locations on certain trails. We weren't surprised to see them here, on our hike today.

I never have an easy time selecting the weekly winners, but this week the selection is "Lynx" by Zach.

Congratulations. Very interesting shot mixing in the uniqueness of the camouflaged spider with excellent use of DoF. Also, I often get into my routine of pictures, and then I see something on this forum that excites me and makes me want to go out and shoot something similar. This was one of those shots for me.

There were several other great images this week. But, just to give the shout out, Joel's Blue Jay was amazing. I also really liked Rick's "Canterbury".......
