2015 - Image of the Week #45

Welcome to TDP forum's "Image of the Week" competition. Each week photographers may submit their images to compete for the title of "Image of the Week." Weekly winners will then compete on a monthly, quarterly and finally in an annual poll for the title of "TDP Image of the Year."

• There will be only one weekly winner.
• This entry period for Week 45 will be from Monday November 2nd through/including Sunday November 8th.
• Please supply a title for your image.
• This is an open competition for landscape, portrait, architectural, macro and any other appropriate photographic style.
• Images should have been either recently taken or processed.
• Enter as many times as you would like.

Great variety in this week's entries! They are so varied, I found it difficult to come up with criteria for choosing a winner. So I settled on pure emotion: How does the picture make me feel? On that basis, I give the nod to "Glen Lake", by Danny (Minerve101). It's obvious that this image was very carefully composed, and when I look at it I am immediately transported to that nice shady spot under the tree with a great, peaceful view to behold. Honourable mentions have to go to just about every other entry... I really liked them all. Sean's IR images continue to captivate me. And Dave's "Oh Deere" shot is excellent for several reasons, including the great use of lighting and the contrast of the clean new tractor on the plowed field. Zack's shot of his cat Emily also caught my eye, for the nice sidelighting and creative toning. And Brant's "End of Season" image really makes me want to visit New Hampshire in the fall!
