2016 Image of the Week #44

Welcome to TDP forum's "Image of the Week" competition. Each week photographers may submit their images to compete for the title of "Image of the Week." Weekly winners will then compete on a monthly, quarterly and finally in an annual poll for the title of "TDP Image of the Year."

• There will be only one weekly winner.
• This entry period for Week 44 will be from Monday October 24th through/including Sunday October 30th.
• Please supply a title for your image.
• This is an open competition for landscape, portrait, architectural, macro and any other appropriate photographic style.
• Images should have been either recently taken or processed.
• Enter as many times as you would like.

This week will be judged by Busted Knuckles

Not yet ;) - Just shot the still life for my new promo.

If client chooses 'Exclusive Portrait Package' or a Wedding package. I'm hoping it will be an incentive, still working the details.

If not I have a few bottles of scotch to drink-- win win situation.

Did anyone else who grew up watching Rocky and Bullwinkle notice that the first two entries were "Moose and Squirrel" (to quote Boris Badenov)?

LOL. Didn't notice that.

This was a tough choice. Jonathan's Aurora Sentinel is by far the most exotic and is very well executed. Kayakers water fall pic is a very pleasing pic.

Minerv's passages is a wonderful juxtapositions...... drumroll

I have to give it Jonathan - clearly planning and execution went into this and waiting for the light show was key.

Wow thanks very much! Yes there was a bit of planning that went to this, but maybe more stubbornness than anything -- it's been 18 months since I've had success with aurora at this lake and I was determined to keep going back until I got it. This particular night was very foggy, and I could barely see across my street when I left the house. But the lake is about 100 metres higher in elevation, and that is all it took to get a clear view. I stayed out until 1:00 am enjoying the show, with a few other people who knew about this spot. A very fine night!
