Manual for a Canon EF100mm f/2.0 USM Lens
Hello everyone.
I am hoping someone has a copy of a manual for a Canon EF 100mm f/2.0 USM lens and that they can be kind enough to upload it or email it to me.
Last week I borrowed this lens from a friend and now I lost his manual. I will be returning the lens next week and hope to find a copy of the manual for him. I know its just a manual but this guy is a very fussy guy!!!
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Re: Manual for a Canon EF100mm f/2.0 USM Lens
Your post reminded me that I need to source manuals (PDF preferably) for some of my Canon gear.
If nobody has a free PDF version for you, here's a place where you can purchase one for the 100 f/2:
ePhotozine
I have not done business with them myself, but have seen them referenced as a source in camera forums. Its a shame that Canon doesn't provide their own library of PDFs for every manual of every product they make. Sometimes you can snag information from their non-USA sites that is not available on the CanonUSA site, but you have to wade through the language conversion.

Thanks Rick
It seems the the place you suggested only has the test results and not the manual.
I emailed them to find out for sure.
I'm still hoping someone can upload or send me a copy of the manual.
Again thanks for the info.

If he's as anal as you say, I'd suggest ordering him a new manual.
There's not any information in it he'll likely need anymore.
Re: Manual for a Canon EF100mm f/2.0 USM Lens
The manual was the top item on the page on my screen (Printer Instruction Manual $12.80). Admittedly that's a lot of money for 5 pages though and they are in the UK I believe, so that also might not work for you. Your quest for this manual is the same as it is for other Canon lens manuals. I was just searching for the 100-400L manual today and it's been unproductive (especially at any of the Canon sites).

Do you actually need the information in the manual?
Aside from what the different IS modes, and the fact that there's a friction ring you can adjust,I'd think everythingpretty self-explanatory.
Re: Manual for a Canon EF100mm f/2.0 USM Lens
If you are speaking to me, my answer on "need", is no. I was interstested in seeing it. Just because someone wants to see a manual doesn't mean they have to "need" it.

Yes, I was. You've got a very good point.
If you're ever in the area, you can look at mine, if I can find it [:)]

I found a copy of the manual!!!
Rick thanks for your tip for searching under other Canon sites.
I found it in the Canon India site. In fact they have just about every manual for the Canon lens.
Now I hope my friend will be happy with a copy of the manual instead of the manual itself?
Keeping my fingers crossed.

Zetox, you did well! I was able to get a peek at the 16pg 100-400 manual too at the India site. That India site is a model for what the other Canon Global sites should be like (at least from the manual perspective).
Here's a direct link to the India site where the manuals can be sourced in case anyone else needs it.

Your friend should be just fine with what you found and that you cared enough to take the effort to replace it (whether he/she really ever reads it or not). Your friend should be satisfied loaning something to a person that exhibits your kind of care if something should happen.
Good going,
Rick
