In August a friend of mine participated in the Swedish Iron Man competition. While I was waiting for him at the finish line (after around 12 hours…) I took pictures of other athletes passing by. Most of them were looking quite exhausted, but this woman seemed filled with energy despite the effort.

I like the different approaches to the subject, thanks for the entries! I'll let Brant know my choices tomorrow.

I can comment on each one of the photo's, great shots all! I really enjoy looking through them.
My picks for the 3 finalists are:
Energy! by Andrea: I really like this one. I'm a fan of pretty much all that is technical and industrial, so that was the first point. Second is that the shot just has energy all over it. Great entry!
The Cheerleader by Mark: This shot intrigues me. The girl as well as the background band express movements and emotions and it also makes me wonder what the move will be that she's about to do, so it activates my fantasy as well.
For the third I'm going for the marmot by Jonathan: I've seen and especially heard these little monsters last summer in Austria so I know exactly what's going on in the shot and that is energetic for sure!
Lastly: I would say that it was not easy picking just 3 finalists. There's aspects of energy that I like in every entry in the assignment. It was a subject that could be widely interpreted and you all have been doing just that. Really enjoyed it.

Jonathon - love 'em. I think I have an idea of how cold the water is and the bear sleeping in it.... LOL
