I was surprised by the greens as well. The oil on canvas is doesn't pull the greens as much.
The chairs over look the lake, behind the chairs is the Jordan Pond Lodge, built in the 30s. I saw a postcard in the shop with the chairs on both sides of the tree and wanted to do my own take on it.

I liked the blues and purple [:)] I thought it was the green that was to bright

I tried to duplicate the bright greens using some pic's I had using CS5, none pulled the green that bright although they subdued it somewhat.
What program did you use?

Looking at the original picture...I wonder was the tree that purple in real life? There are not many purple trees around my part of the world.

Part of it was shadow, part of it was a fungus that grows on the tree.
