This is not much but, as I was visiting a zoo with kids near Lausanne, I saw the bridge & thought about TDP.

Something I've noticed (I'm sure Jan's probably noticed it too), after living in The Netherlands for a few years, I reckon every 2nd or 3rd shot of mine has a bridge in it (seeing as half the country are canals). Although not many seem to have the bridge as the subject. Not too many bridges around here in Aus, we don't tend to have much water (but I did go to Sydney a few months ago, so i've probably got some cliche shots of "that" bloody bridge). Or I might shoot something completely random, like a metaphorical bridge or a game of cards...
Just for you Doc

I finally got some time off last week so I could go out shooting. So I went looking for bridges. Here are a couple... I will submit the first.

This is my entry. I took this image yesterday afternoon. It is a 5 shot HDR of the Tebbs Bend Bridge over the Green River in Taylor County Kentucky. There was a bridge in this location during the Civil War and it was a key route of travel since there was no other way to cross the river with wagons for many miles. Due to it's strategic importance it became the site of a very large battle. The entire area around this bridge is deemed to be an historical site and Civil War artifacts are frequently found in the surrounding farm fields.

Fantastic submissions so far everyone. I haven't participated in one of these in ages, so here is my little submission.
