Ha..ooops...I meant blurred out. Not blown out. Sorry. Agreed, it seems that if the background is far enough behind the subject, even at f/11, the partial blurring is actually pleasing....again to my eye.

bird shots are the hardest for me to take, as they are toward the sun most of the time so the best i can get is a silhouette.

This is a sample of recent images from my back yard setup using the R5.
These were all taken using the Canon 600mm f/4L Version II with either the 1.4 or 2.0 teleconverter and the EF to RF adapter. The originals were captured in CRAW and converted using DPP4.0 then transferred to Photoshop for finishing.
Most were using iso from 2000 to 6400 and no noise reduction was applied in post except for one image.
