I was having coffee one morning before the sun got above the trees and it was a bit overcast - a RBT HB was visiting the feeder next to our porch, the throat was pitch black, then as the sun started to shine "poof" ruby! Would have made a great video, but as I said, I was drinking coffee and the brain cells were just starting to spin up.

Here are two images from this morning....I usually prefer a faster shutter speed because the birds are not still very long but it was overcast so I was using a relatively slow shutter and still got a few keepers. EXIF is the same for both images.

Bill.....you're really killin me with the Eagles....one of my favorite birds and also one I have not been able to get images of around here. I have been dreaming of going on one of the Alaska based photo workshops:)
