Here's what I came up with playing around a little.
Yes, the bird does look less blue to me., sometimes when you change one setting, it will mess up another one, so, now I would try to up the exposure slightly. Just play around a little with exposure, WB, Contrast, vibrancy and saturation. Take a look at how each of the settings affects the image. If there's noise then de-noise first. Another interesting setting is blackpoint. I find that less is more when it comes to adjustments.

I like your birds in the dark, I think if you worked with some filters in pp you could make it look like a painting, very artsy to me.

I like the sharpness, exposure and the contrast in the 2nd shot. Nice catch light in the eyes using the better beamer.
