Pat, #2 is awesome. What kind of PP did you apply to it?

conropl, great shots of lightening- something I've not yet had a chance to shoot.
Here's a few photos I took of some local Fox kits, the lighting wasn't the best but I am happy with the prints:

Thank you all for the kind words.
I used LR 3 for the RAW conversion, Standard Adobe, the WB was auto and I left it as shot, I upped the exposure 1.15, and added a small amount of clarity. That's about it.
Great shots. I would love to find some Kits to get some shots of.

Nice flower arrangement, and your Grand Daughters are little cuties.
A few shots from our trip to Mammoth Cave National Park in Kentucky...turns out a cave is not the easiest place to take pictures, so I had to scrap the majority of the shots. They did not allow tripods on the cave tours, so most of my shots were 1/2 second to a full second hand held.

Oh wow Mark - do they all live in your house?
Oh wow Mark - do they all live in your house?
Holy crap, Mark!! Why do you have so many raccoons in your yard? What are you feeding them!? I would totally freak out if I saw that in my yard! I live in the city and my next door neighbor saw a couple raccoons awhile back and a mommy possum and her babies in his back yard last week. I have seriously been considering packing up my bird feeders since I saw a little mouse (now mice) in my yard ...anything larger than that would definitely put me over the edge!
We get this every year. Big rush of raccoons just as summer starts and then they fade away when it gets really hot. We have a bunch of outdoor cats and the only way to let them eat is to distract the raccoons with other stuff. Luckily they love the peanut pickouts, which are relatively cheap. So while the raccoons are feasting on peanuts, we feed the kitties. It all works out.
Below are few from a kayak trip this morning. I love the way you get so many colorful reflections off the water when shooting from the low angle of a kayak.

I am not very good at HDR but I thought this one shot would be a good test for the new DPP HDR that I took at the Chicago Botanic Garden ...

Mark - Your vacation shots are flawless! Perfect lighting, composition, sharpness and beautiful color!
Getting a slow start kayaking this morning, I found myself still on the road when the sun rose. It was a beautiful sunrise so I decided to:) M_six ;)the sunrise by finding a nice rural setting to get a few shots off. So I pulled over at this farm house to get a few shots off before the great light was gone. I hope you enjoy it.

Pat that's great --- the exposure and composition are perfect. I really like the fact that you can still see good detail in the farmhouse, as opposed to it being a complete silhouette.
Here's one from this evening. I went for a stroll at the local bird sanctuary, and came across our national rodent crossing the path in front of me:
http://www.huyerperspectives.com/Nat...L/M32423-L.jpg
Great shot of the beaver... it looks like it stopped in its tracks hoping you'd not notice. They are cute, but they really can mess up a day of kayaking down a stream to find out near the end you can't pass due to their dams.
Jonathan - Those "rodents" sure have really yellow teeth. You would think that with all the chewing they would scrape their teeth clean. Nice shot... I never find them out of the water.
"Rock-a-bye baby, in the treetops..."
Caught this little guy getting ready for a snooze before the evening's festivities. Rokinon 85mm f1.4 and Kenko 2x TC, plus a hefty crop. (I really need a longer lens.)

Pat, I chew a lot and my teeth are still yellow. ;) Went to the dentist today for the first time in years. The dentist says we're going to be seeing a lot of each other over the next year or two. Oh boy.
Beautiful sunrise Pat.
Nice beaver Jonathan!!
Mark, I'm gussing that's a raccoon, don't have any of them over here.
Finished building Bo's cathouse. Turned into a major project, but he's happy with it and so is the wife. The shot of the tunnel leads from the cathouse uo to the bathroom where there is a catflap and dinner bowl and pet litter and stuff for him. He tears up and down the tunnel, sleeps in it and watches the birds that land on the roof. I need to paint my downpipes, oh well. A couple of angle brackets and this thing can be removed, but the cat loves it and it can't be seen from the road. So project complete.

I love the Racoon shots! The only coon photo I have is of a sick one (you can't really tell in the photo though).
Here's the latest, these were taken in the wild, I was a bit nervous as the Sow could have been lurking in the woods:

Well, the only shot I have of a raccoon also has 4 Turkey Vultures in it, you can tell he is not well.
Awesome shots. I totally understand the nervousness, but you still got the shots right. Good that it did not end like the latest story on lensrentals.
Arnt
Impressive setup, Steve, must be one happy cat! The tunnel is unbelievable - is the cat not allowed in the rest of the house, or why the need for a ramp on the outside?
Arnt
Thanks Arnt, the cat has the run of the house when we are there and gets on good with the dogs. But, we live on acerage and have a lot of birds, so we have decided to make the cat an inside cat only and with the tunnel he can go to an outside screened enclosure, or have the upstairs area. This set up still allows the dogs to come and go as they please, through their doggy doors.
Love the cat house and chute. We could use something like that.
My corn crop is coming along nicely.

A fisheye shot using the old Canon f/2.8 15mm. I was pleased with how well this particular fisheye view suited both the setting and the light. A little post-processing in Lightroom 3, bringing down the blue and pushing up the green.
This is from today before the storm came.
