neuroanatomist, that is a great shot of the lights, and M_Six, the large pano of Stonehenge is fantastic. The place has been on my bucket list for a long time.
We are finally getting some fall color in Maryland and here is one from today

Larry
Great colors, Larry. I miss fall colors. We don't get much in central IL.
Stonehenge is an amazing place in several ways, not the least of which is the design of the pathways around the site. It was very crowded the day we were there yet it's quite easy to get a clear shot of it. The paths keep people at a bit of a distance and almost below the sight lines when viewed from the main road. That pano was shot over the fence from the path along the road. Good of the Brits to let you get close enough for a good shot without having to pay for entry.
Roman Baths at Bath, UK.

I'm enjoying the pics from your travels Mark, keep them coming.
Like the bokeh and Autumn colours, Larry,
Mark, if you're still in the Bath area, I hope you managed to avoid the floods and that the rain hasn't spoiled your holiday too much.
I had the rare opportunity to do some sightseeing myself last week in Windsor whilst on a course.

The Round Tower, Windsor Castle by Andrew Stringer, on Flickr
Despite having just a P&S camera with me, I managed to do some tilt-shift photography. In this case, it's the building that's tilted and shifted rather than the lens. That's what happens when you use green wood during construction.

The Crooked House of Windsor by Andrew Stringer, on Flickr
Nice shots, Andy. We're in Salisbury now and I just shot a rather wavy building myself. Yesterday in Bath actually was not a total wash out. The sun did appear now and again. Today was much better with just some light rain while we were driving. We detoured through Devizes to see the amazing canal locks, then over to Avebury for the Stone Circle, Sillbury Hill, and West Kennett Long Barrow. Tonight we're staying 500ft from the impressive Salisbury Cathedral (which is partly covered in scaffolding). I'll get some pics up later.
Tomorrow it's back to London until Tuesday when we fly home.
Emjoy the rest of your trip Mark. Great shot of the Roman baths by the way.
Andy, great shot of the crooked house. Somehow it looks very familiar. I have been in and around London about 12 years ago on a school trip and I might have been there. I'll have to see if I can find the photos of that trip to find out.
Salisbury Cathedral and the amazing fountain inside.

One shot from last week-end. The original was blue on one side and yellow on the other which made quite a nice shot but I prefer much more the B&W version

My granddaughter came to visit for a few minutes today. This little girl can be pretty stubborn when I want her to look at me to take her photo and she doesn't want to!

The shot is composed of about 9 shots taken and stitched together in photoshop and converted to monochrome. Shot with 5D III and 24-70 2.8L. Used circular polarizer.
My wife's desk is below it with a 20" monitor for scale. Whole thing is 100"x24". I think it turned out ok.
Dave.
Nice.
Dave - Great wall art.
My wife and I headed to the Upper Peninsula this week to visit my daughter and managed to get to the Mackinac Bridge before sunrise. This is the 5 mile suspension bridge between the Upper and Lower Peninsulas of Michigan.

Great series Brant that first one is post card perfect.
Looks a lot warmer than it is here in London, Brant. Nice shots.
Here's a three shot pano that I cropped to fit my dual screen desktop (2560x1024) at the office. This image is linked to the full size version.

Brian - nice set of shots! The second bird is a Clark's Nutcracker... they are quite bold out here.
Well, The first two are certainly Elk and if you get that close to them out here, you should be armed with something other than a camera;), The third shot is a Stellers Jay I believe.
Thanks Jonathan and Bob! I figured the 4th shot was a jay of some sort.
The elk right now are in full breeding mode and seem to have no interest in people. For the second shot, I (and 50 others) were maybe 50 feet away. He could have cared less about us. It was cool to hear them calling/bugling for the females.
Nice Series Bryan. Nice sharp shots.
Mark...nice pano....
Steve and Mark....thanks...glad you like the shots. One of the things I love about photography, it adds something wherever you are or whatever you are doing. In this case, it was a nice distraction between wedding events. All the shots were taken within a few minutes drive of the wedding location in Scottsdale, AZ.
Great wildlife shots, Brian.
Last night we attended a function at the Tower of London. It gave me a chance to grab some night shots.

Great night shots Mark. Love the 2nd and 3rd in particular.
Good stuff Darren. I cannot even keep up with all the good stuff you put out. I really liked your series about the protest, too
Most of this is all fairly old stuff that I'm just drip feeding out now.
