Since in Michigan, green tends to be a predominate color, I stay away from the landscape setting beause it tends to push the greens too much, and in the fall we get a lot of reds that get clipped. On average, I like the Adobe setting. However, I think the blues in the sky do tend to look better with the landscape setting. In the end, I think it is the color content and composition of the picture that dictates what setting to use. For example, a mountain shot with little green (or dark greens like conifers) and lots of blue sky may look better with the landscape setting. But I am not sure there is one setting that is good for all.

Happy Thanksgiving to my fellow Canadians! If you eat too much turkey, make like a bear and sleep it off :)

Great pics, Brant. Love Sabbaday Falls. We called it Frostbite Falls back in the day because the water in May was bone chillingly cold. That lower pool was a great swimming hole, though. Do they still allow swimming there?

A little bit of fun with Photoshop. This is a merge of a night shot of our campus administration building and a shot of clouds with a very blown out moon. Both shots were lemons on their own, but they made pretty good lemonade.

Very interesting Mark! it has a real fantasy feel to it, i'd call it "Castle in the Sky"
I saw these on the side of the road, so I stopped and got some shots and this is the best one. I didn't Notice this till PP but if you look from the bottom up you can see the stages of the flower.

Mark,
I also enjoyed the castle in the sky-- a creative use of Photoshop, unlike some images you see with a silly degree of HDR on an otherwise humdrum scene.

Liking the combination of Mark's lemons. Almost in time for Halloween. How much dry ice would that take anyways??
Anyways one from the other night while waiting for the sun to drop down a bit more. A rather large pano reduced to fit here.
