Thanks, and yes it does. -20 deg F last week in the U.P.
Taking some night shots, my hands got pretty cold (and sore). Other than that, I was dressed warm enough.

Yeah, I can't let my hands get cold either. When they start to warm up again, it feels like they got slapped really hard. Even holding an ice cold soda can will cause problems. I bought a pair of those gloves with the removable finger tips, but they're pretty clumsy.
Haven't really been active on here much recently, but I had the chance to go for a walk and finally take some photos with my new 70-200 f2.8 II the other day. Really enjoying the lens!

Great sky Eric. Congratulations on the new lens.
Poik, Really did you have to post those? I have a 7D as well and keep talking myself out of the cost of the 70-200 f2.8 II. Now you post such wonderful pictures my mind goes to wanting again!! Outstanding photos, that is an incredible skylight view. I know it's a great lens and you'll be posting more beautiful photos like these.

Penguins in Michigan? I had no idea:)
Cool shots (no pun intended)
Oh... I forgot to explain that one.;)
My daughter has been going to school up there, and this year they have fairly regularly been at -20 to -30 deg F. Evidently someone with a little humor about the seemingly endless cold made a bunch of cut outs of penguins and set them up at the local park out on the Lake Superior ice. So I took a picture and showed it to my daughter - I told here she needs to watch the news more often, because she should have known that it is a historic event to have the penguins migrate this far south. She was amazed until I told her she is a little too gullible (I do not think I will be getting the father of the year award for that whopper).
