This just seems wrong... the non-sled-dogs pulling around a Husky.
Really great action shots.

It looks like you still have a lot of green around. We haven't seen any green for a quite a while now.
If you had not mentioned the hiker, I would have missed it. That must be a big falls, and the dead tree that fell across the falls must be large.
Thanks for sharing... my wife and I love waterfalls. It looks like we are going to need to take a drive to S.C. some day.
You should dedicate a week or so if possible as the up state of SC and also the neighboring area in NC have a good 20 waterfalls all within 2-3 hrs driving distance. A number of the falls here are GIGANTIC. There are two that I know that are 300+ feet. One of those is the largest fall east of the Mississippi (Whitewater falls). The best autumn shots down here (in the mountains) are had in mid to late October. Its definitely worth the trip.
Dave.
Here's a couple more Christmas shots. Both are with the Zeiss 50 1.4 Planar in available light. Accurate focusing at this thin depth of field manually on a stock APS-C camera is impossible so I used live view.
First, my father & mother in-laws cat with out of focus highlight background. The tree was properly exposed and the the cat not. I tried to save it the best I could in post and am reasonably happy with the result. This was wide open at f/1.4

Thank you! He's a ham and REALLY hard to photograph with those blue eyes!

I went out for a little night photography at one of my favorite lighthouses this evening.

Love the foreground and how you composed the lighthouse below Polaris. I really need to play around with some light painting when I take night shots.
@ Dave....#1 is a really great shot. Love all the bokeh balls above the cat. #2 is fun.
@Pat....that is a really well executed shot....one of those pictures that makes me want to get out there and try....but...still too cold here...
