I got a chance to see my sister for the first time in over a year and a half. Just a short few hour visit :-\
Anyways, they drove from Washington to Sacramento, CA in their 1987 Toyota Supra project car (sounds like fun to me!) so I wanted to document them before they left. Setup a strobe on a stand, stood on-top of a parked car and took a shot. I had less than 15 min to setup shoot and pack away (had to make it to class)
I had to do an extreme crop here because of people yards and the distracting lines on the sidewalks. I'm just not sure of the crop on the bottom of the frame, is it weird looking slightly cutting off the wheel of the car? I think it directs more attention to subject, in my opinion. criticism welcome :) (be light, I rarely work with flash)
WasAname: Looks like water street in St. John
Great pics everyone. I love the varied nature of the photos in this thread.
It clouded over here earlier than expected, so I didn't see any northern lights. It did give me a chance tofinish going through my photosfrom last Saturday at the Eagle Festival.
I had forgotten that this cormorant fly over.
