Like you, the 50mm f/1.4 and the 100mm Macro L were on mt list.
I got the 50mm first,...and really like it. It doesnt AF very fast (I'm an "L" user) but for low light
it is nice....

Yes i probably would do the kenko set. As brian said in his review, kenko air is just as good as canon air.
I would be interested to see some results from using an extension...
