    Re: Image Critique: Frog

I reallly couldn't use live view given the circumstances. Between the awkward position and the slow shutter speed it would have been near impossible to hold it like that.
And no, I only have the...

    Re: Image Critique: Frog

Thanks for your replies! I had to manually focus. For some reason autofocus didn't work (I'm sure because of the reflective nature of the frogs skin). It was extremely hard to tell what I was...

Re: Image Critique - Superbike Race

Thanks! That was from the first day of three and I was still getting used to it. By the third day of the races I was using 1/160 sec shutter speed. My lens doesnt have IS so that made it a bit more...

Re: Canon 70-200mm f/4 for basketball?

f/2.8 is barely usable for indoor sports. I used my 70-200mm f/2.8 for an indoor BMX show. ISO 1600 was the slowest I could go for 1/250 sec shutter. I know its not a basketball game, but I'm sure...

    First time portrait photography

    Fear the bird!

Not really anything great, I just thought it was kind of funny looking. My mutant cardinal. I'm going to put it in my portfolio right next to my demon bird floating over top of my water pump.
