From cnn.com
"...uses multiple internal lenses to capture much more light than a normal camera, at more than one angle."
So I guess if you want to use this you have to ditch SLR all...
Nope, you can thank global warming for that.
I agree with whats been said, the non-HDR is better. Great photo, and is there some trick for doing HDR panoramics in photomatix? My computer freezes everytime I try, but it might be because I'm...
I might also be corrected if wrong, but I believe the focal length has nothing to do with the aperture size. The sensor size and the crop factor are more relevant. For example, f2.8 on a full frame...
vote yet?
From the ISO 12233 charts, the 400 f2.8 with the 1.4 converter is nearly identical to the 500 f4 in IQ, both wide open. If I had the money to spend, I'd get the 400 f2.8 and 1.4 TC, this gives you...
I tend to shoot at narrower apertures, like f10-f14 or so, I find that when using a narrower aperture the difference between highlights and shadows are less dramatic and as a whole the picture seems...
No way! Those birds are shy as heck, how long was she waiting?

Alex that's an excellent shot! Those are my favorite of the backyard birds.
I totally forgot that I had a few bird pictures. I only have one wide angle lens and a normal lens.
Both shot with 30D and a rented 100-400L in alaska.

check out photozone.de for full size images on many canon and 3rd party lenses.
Jealous. I do like it, but what is it from? a corner? a large scratch?
Is that the original background? It looks too white, even for snow!

That lens isn't a currentlens
It could be like NG photo of the day, where the admin selects maybe 10 of the best for the month, then we vote on them, because it would be a huge poll with a greater possibility of ties, unless...
I'll take a stab at this too.

Check out the comparison of these two lenses at 2.8. I know they are on different bodies, but the 16-35L is much sharper at 2.8, yet both are reasonably sharp wide open.

Thanks, I downloaded Virtualdub and it seems like it will work. I'm going to try this weekend by doing a puzzle.
Yes, make a video at 24fps using photos as frames. unless this is not how a time lapse video is made.
I'd like to do a time lapse, and I know how to capture all the images using remote shooting in EOS utility, but what do I do with the pictures once they are on my computer? or is there some program...
To me, the right side of the box looks plenty sharp for being wide open at 2.8 and at ISO 3200. that high of an ISO should degrade the picture somewhat, although I don't have a new canon model, so I...
