In Alaska I used the FlexShooter Pro head .... its a ball head that functions like a gimbal and is smaller and lighter .... it works quite well. I also have a Wimberly which is great but harder to...

Eagle Flying......many opportunities in the Chilkat Eagle Preserve .... hundreds of birds and many are very approachable when perched. The flight shots are tougher to get and I used the 600mm + 2X TC...

Aurora and Big Dipper over Haines, Alaska last night. I came up for the Bald Eagles but could not pass the chance to take some Aurora images ... this was my first ever.

Tough call once again .... my 3 finalists were "Full Coverage", "Morning Reflection" and "Canmore Dawn" .... and all the entries are standout images and deserving of praise as well.

Had a great time on our abbreviated Yellowstone trip .... we saw most of the park over 3 days from the car with a few limited short walks to some of the iconic spots. The advice I received here prior...

Certainly appreciate all the advice .... since photo's will not be the priority of this trip I will have to bring a limited amount of gear.
