    I'm using a 5D MII and you're spot on. I must have moved the focus "box" previously and it doesn't reset itself to center so that must be what it is. That was making me crazy so thanks for kick in...

    I don't mean to say one is more accurate than the other, I'm to say that the if you focus on a point thru the viewfinder then turn live view on you'll see that the focus box is located no where near...

    Have some fun with a rented EF 400 5.6 You've really got to push the ISO(1250) with this baby to get a decent shutter speed (320) and aperture (7.1) combo but I'm stillexperimenting a bit.

    Point taken relative to the crop. The shot is right out of the camera. No adjustments or manipulation at all.

    It's called a speed brake. Mostmilitaryaircraft have them however the can be located in various places, even out on the trailing edge of the wing tips.
