    Re: Maximum FPS

Using just about any Auto Setting (AWB, Av, Tv, AutoISO, Fully Auto, etc...) is going to slow your maximum burst rate (but not usually by too much). Shooting in RAW will slow it down tremendously....

What camera are you using? Have you considered using the internal Dust Delete Data function?

    Re: PocketWizard with Canon's IR

You can't. You have to have a PocketWizard FlexTT5 for each speedlite; especially if you want to use ETTL or HyperSync(PWs basically deactivate speedlite IR). If you want a cheap manual...
  5. Re: Kaiser Vivicap for White Balance : any experiences ?

No experience with the Kaiser Vivicap. I own and occasionally use the ExpoDisc. If shooting primarily Jpeg, in consistent lighting, it works alright. However, when shooting RAW (as is usually the...
  6. Re: Telephoto lens on a budget? Is there such a thing?

Oops! Yes, the lenses that I was speaking of were in fact the IS models, but the pricing that I quoted was for a used non-IS model. Sorry for the confusion.

True the 70-400 f/4 is sharper than...

  8. Re: Telephoto lens on a budget? Is there such a thing?

Based upon the criteria you've indicated (or inferred) the 70-200mm f/2.8 is the way to go. With the recent release of the 70-200mm f/2.8 (Mark II), there's a good chance that there will be some used...

Clicking on the little triangles next to the dialogue boxes/menus will hide or show them. Or you can use Shift-Tab to get rid of everything and get the result you're looking for. At least that's how...

    Re: New Project: BASS GUITAR!

White Balance looks off. Sharpness/Focus is less than desirable. Lighting is not particularly dynamic (good enough for ebay I suppose).

    - Try the same shots at night (or dusk) to...

Talk you out of it? Sorry, can't do that.

It's a lot of money, yes, but you'd be hard pressed to find anyone who doesn't find this lens to be one of the essential lenses that every Canon shooter...

True what John and Peety3 say.

The 'extra reach' of a crop frame camera can be a bit of a fallacy. It's called a 'crop frame', I prefer to think of it as just that; a camera that...

Re: On my way to Perth

Glad you enjoyed your time in Perth. Great photos. I hope to get back there some day. I regret that I never got to hold a Koala when I was in Australia. I was pretty much a bum when I lived there, so...

I've recently made the switch from PC to Mac. I wish I had done it years ago - the main reasons I never did earlier was the price difference between a new Mac and a similarly spec'ed PC, and software...

  18. Re: Is such an 1Dv camera possible? (See if I'm making sense!)
