Well, late reply... Lol. Got it back and all was fine...for a bit... Started happening again. Sent it back in and no fault found, since then its been fine... Confusing...
Gone in to repair today. I'm getting a service done on it as it probably needs one anyway!
They will let me know if it will cost more for any repairs.
Cheers guys :)
Ok, for one it's nothing to do with shutter speeds etc. It's the same setup I always use.
I have two 580ex2's. Both work fine and flawless on my 50D.
On my 5D using either of them doesn't work...
My 5D has been slowly getting worse with using a flash.
The flash will fire, but not show any effect on the picture.
When shooting into a mirror the flash doesn't show in the picture at all, even...
Thanks for the response Dave!
Well, the 24-105 is my main lens for weddings etc, and I think it's just the thought of 'What if' it got damaged, stolen...
What about getting the 40mm pancake...
Going Zambia over Easter, and been trying to work out what to take.
I don't want to bulk myself up with gear, and don't want to take my primary work lens out with me - 24-105L

We have a vinyl backdrop which, currently, we suspend from the ceiling in the building we use for portraits.
Now, as it's not our building we have to put it up each time, and lifting it up each...
At least this isn't just me then!
I just got stuck in a way of using P mode on the 50D and then using the flash in manual, I used to use that for quick snaps where I would increase the flash power...
Thanks for the response guys, tried all that and no difference even at high ISO.
I also noticed that with shutter priority mode on and flash in manual it sets the aperture to 22, no matter what...
I have just got hold of a 5DMK1 off ebay, great condition.
Now, I have used my 580EXII on my friends 5DMK1 before.
The problem is this, when in P mode on the camera, I change flash to manual...
Cheers for the input guys, will definately look into the G series cameras.
Well they should mostly be taking photos of people, maybe the odd few scenic shots. The people going this time are not very 'photography literate', so to have one lens on the camera, and to keep that...
I work at a college, and each year they take soem students out to Sierra Leone in Africa.
The first time I went and had my DSLR kit, secodn trip another teacher had a decent kit, this trip they...
I was wondering what camer profile people tend to use?
Either it be, ACR 4.6, Adobe Standard, Camera Standard...
They all make the photos look different in colours, but what to people find...
I love battery grips, not only for the added power, but they feel better. I have grips on both my 350 and 50D. I would always go for Canon brand as well, the quote above explains exactly why. If you...
This lens is awesome, for the price it truely shines. I have used it a lot already for gigs and other events when i dont want to use a flash, but need a fast lens.
If it had to be ONE lens, would be 24-105. Good range imo.
Both disks come as standard here retail. I got my copy of 7 on pre-order for £60, both discs. If I didn't pre-order it for that much, I would have got it OEM.
Actually you have to buy either a 64bit or 32bit version. Both don't come in the same box.
However if you already have a license you can purchase an installation disk for like $10

Absolutely! The good thing as well is WIndows 7, no matter what version you buy, they all ship with both 32 & 64 bit versions!
Its down to personal taste. I think Macs are great, but I prefer PC's.
Windows 7 with CS4 is superb I find. Havent encountered any problems. Its fast and does what I need.
The problem is,...
Awesome shots! Thanks for the exif data! Always helpful :)
When im shooting a wedding all day I always carry 2 sets of rechargable 2700 NiMH with me, and a set of pre-charged batteries as backup. After a full day of shooting I only tend to change batteries...
Exactly, for the price im very pleased with it all. I know what you mean about the weight, but then I didnt want to dish out over £200 on just the tripod!
